Do you have any insight on why Dan was fired and what he plans to do now?  Maybe suggest he at least temporarily try doing an internet radio show for those of us who love his sense of humor, his perspective on issues, and will definitely miss his cherubic nature on the radio locally!

Another suggestion: I believe AM1280, sells its weekend programming, why not you, Dan, and Super Dave team up with some sponsors and buy a time slot on the weekend over there at AM1280, I'd definitely rather hear Dan than the incessent droning and GOP *** kissing that occasionally comes from the Northern Alliance Radio Network guys.

Deep breaths, deep breaths, Dan is an adult he will definitely land on his size 2's err feet and hopefully locally. I gurandamntee you I'd rather hear Conry instead of that McCain dong licker Medved on 1280. (Okay I admit the size 2's was a bit harsh, but it was in fun not spite)

I doubt this will happen, but maybe the fan will fire that clown Dan Cole and replace him with Conry.

Try Decaf for a couple days, there Enge.

Brent, No I don't have any insight except the new production manager they brought in didn't like him much and tried to change his show, which Dan resisted.  I don't know what he will do now except be a stay at home mom, LOL.  He will be fine though, he is very talented and will land a good gig I am sure.  I like the internet idea but I really don't like the radio business after seeing it from the inside.  They all suck!!!

Thanks for the news & all the info, "Wilbur".  Please tell Dan that I, USMC-Dad, will miss his show VERY much!!  Wish I could've met him at one of the TalkSpotter Gatherings.

This morning, (Sat), the On-Air line up shows LP in Dan's time slot; 5:00-7:00 am, M-F.

So VERY sorry to see Dan go!  I'm going to miss his natural good cheer & common sense during my morning commute!!  He NEVER failed to lift my spirits on my way into the office @ 6:00 am.

I think that they still have several people worth listening to, but the list just got shorter by one!  I'll continue to listen to Rush, naturally,... and both Hannity & Jason too, as well as Glenn Beck. (if & when I ever listen in the evenings)  But, I'm not going to list Chris Baker in that group, as I'm still very unsure about him.  Sometimes I think he's making some sense, and other times he just comes across as a rude, crude, wack-job!!  I'm also still up in the air about LP, but I'll try to give him a fair shot.  I believe in giving people a fair shot, and I don't think this move was LP's fault.

Suffice it to say, I'm not at ALL happy about this change!!    To whomever it was at KTLK who made this decision, whether it was the now "infamous & notorious" Mr Versnick, or some FOOLISH new Production Manager, or perhaps some other brainless turd, here's my opinion of your firing of Dan Conry!!

Well, Since I read all this and talked to Enge about it. I am going back to AM 1500 in the mornings. Mr V hasn't a clue as to what his listeners want. The morning line up is not what i call spectacular.

Mr V do yourself a favor actually open up those eyes and ears and listen and read what the masses want. You might retain your job a little longer. Of did I mention I am taking bets on Jason staying after his contract ends ? Somehow i think he will be setting sail for a bigger market , then where will KTLK be ?

I understand Dan Conry is a "Man" and can handle himself.  It still sucks to be fired from anything.  I stand by my claim that HE did more than anyone to promote that station and THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT HIM?

Dang, just when I got a new job where I am up early enough to start  listening to the 5-7am schedule...this just sucks.  Somebody please let Dan know he has a faithful following, I would love to see the guy set up a website/blog kind of thing...then we could bail from here all together.  I loved his insight and humor...and will miss him, kind of like losing your best friend.  He was a conservative voice for the first wave genxers...how is it we always seem to get shortchanged?
