Michelle...sticking it to the dems AGAIN!

Here is a great article by Michelle Bachman, who once again, pointing out the flaws in the Demoncrats theories of drilling for our own oil!

That's an excellent read, DarkMan.  Thanks!  I understand that Gov Palin of Alaska is totally in favor of opening up this relatively miniscule portion of ANWR (ie: 0.01% of ANWR's total acreage) for new drilling too.  Hope that these two ladies manage to pull it off!

This is an article from Congress Woman Michelle Bachman.  SLF, try reading it before commenting.

As far as the chain letter, did you read that thread?  Yes some things were not true, however, as discussed in the thread some things were.  The narrative, the story behind the letter is the focus there.

This is a common tactic done by the libaral left:

Duke rape case: Rich white guys raped a poor black girl.....did not happen...the liberals who slammed the guys, like the professors, the main streem media, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton etc... did any of these people apologize to the white guys?  No.  The narrative was true, the facts just did not match the narrative.

Jack Murtha calling US Marines murderers on the floor of the government.....the marines were exonerated, in other words, they did not do it.  Did Jack Murtha apologize?  No, the narrative was true, the fact that the marines did not murder innocent people, well that just did not match up with the narrative.

Harry Reid attacked Rush Limbaugh on the floor of the Senate, had a letter written and signed by 41 senators calling for Rush to be taken off the air because he called the men and women in Iraq "Phony Soldiers"......didnt happen, Rush was responding to people who were featured on an ABC broadcast, and one guy in particular.  Did Harry Reid and the 41 senators apologize when the facts were out?  No, the narrative was true of course, the facts just did not match up with the narrative.

Barack Obama goes to Iraq, says that the soldiers did a great job, responded that the violence was down, and political progress was made....however, when asked if, he could go back in time, knowing what he knows today, would he support the surge, Barack said no he would not. No he would not support the surge even with the success that it has brought about.  You see, the narrative of Barack Obama is that are failing in Iraq, we have lost, and this narrative is more important than the facts that 80% of the violence has stopped, and that the Iraq government has meet 15 out of 18 benchmarks.  For Barack Obama, the narrative is true, the facts just dont support the narrative.

So, you see SLF, although not all the facts in the chain letter were true, using the liberal logic, the narrative is much more important....the facts just dont match up with the narrative.

Does this help explain things better to you?  If you still dont understand this thread, please feel free to go back and read the article by Michelle Bachman.  Then maybe you can see the facts and match them up with your own personal narrative.

I also think her attempts to get "intelligent design" equal time in science class is also insane.  Intelligent design is in no way science.  I have zero issues with intelligent design being taught in a theology or philosophy class, but to try to pass off creationism as science is just laughable.

Re: Michelle...sticking it to the dems AGAIN!

I would put forth that "batsh;t crazy" is not a technical term, rather a statement of one's opinion of a person's general manner of conduct and speech, and as such needs no proof.

Of course, it's also funny, so he has that going for him.

The theory of intelligent design has been proven to the same extent that all other genesis theories have.  That is to say none have been proven.  The "Big Bang Theory" and subsequent theories of natural selection are widely held "consensus" views but, much like man made global warming, none are technically "provable".  As such, and taking in to account that the theory of intelligent design does not get in to theology or "creationism" per se, teaching that there is no single unifying theory to genesis is not a terrible idea, and staunch opposition only suggests fear of the idea.
